simple revelation that we discovered, that like our simple natural
products, we would like to share it with the world!
Everybody gets back pain at some time through strain or injury or overwork
and
how comforting
to know that relief is as far away as your 'BACKBALLS'. No body
else has to work hard
to relieve your pain and this method can get you through
to the
appointment with
the health care practitioner of your choice.
We tend to use our backballs almost every morning or evening before retiring
or
in
the morning,
just because it works by applying the pressure and the weight
of your own
body on
the acupressure points on
either side of your backbone;
gets the energies
moving
and
it
feels
soooo good.
'BACKBALLS' are simply 2 (or X2 more once you get the hang of it) ordinary
rubber balls
that
you
can buy for a couple of dollars at almost any store.
They
should be the size
of
tennis balls for adults. Some people like
the hardness of street hockey balls. My personal
preference is natural rubber
'pinkies'.
Children can use a smaller rubber ball type.
You lie on your back on a carpeted floor or other semi-hard surface-- like
a
firm
mattress,
with your legs bent at the knees; the soles of your feet
flat on the matt. Wiggle and place
the balls on either side of your
spine starting
at the base of the spine where are located
the most complex configuration
of acupressure points. It is important to keep the balls symmetrical
along
the spine at first. Apply pressure at points along the spine gradually
working
your way up
to the neck, always on either side. NEVER apply direct
pressure
on the bone!
In some situations, such as hip strain in women, place the balls
under either hip bones. You can
even
place
them under knees for
pain relief there.
Under points
around the shoulder blades
really helps me. When you get the hang
of it, you can place the balls strategically where it hurts
and
press into them.
You can
get creative. I have used them for headache by putting a ball on
my
head against the wall. AND IT WAS GOOD!
