"Palo Alto James Golden Rod" Or "Goldie" is a registered foundation stock American Bashkir Curly palomino stallion. Smart, extremely hardy and gentle, Curlies produce a coat of thick curls each winter which can be brushed out each spring. The wool can be spun or felted and is reminiscent of a fine merino. "Goldie" is our guard horse, helping our dogs when they are too old or too young. He has interceded between prowling bears and humans on dark nights and follows our 3 year old (human child) when bears are hanging around the farm.
